Abstract
Research Background: The
hospital is the center of health service to the community, thus
all health care worker including nurses must be healthy in order to provide the
best services. Nurses who work in the hospital are at risk of work-related
accidents such as infected by infectious diseases or needle prick injury. Thes
work-related accidents can occur due to various factors, among which is lacked
of knowledge of health and safety.
Objective: This study aims
to determine the relationship between knowledge of health and safety work with
prevalence work accident among nurses working in treatment room.
Methods: The was a quantitative
research with cross sectional approach. The data was collected using
self-administered with 146 respondents randomly selected. Chi-square test
was used to examine the relationship.
Result: The results showed
the relationship between knowledge of healthy and saftey work with prevalance
work accident was not significant (p=0.30).
Conclusion: Conclusion of
this research result was knowledge of good and less good can happen work
accident by 96.6% to no relationship between knowledge of health and safety
work with prevalence of accident among nurses in the treatment room of General
Hospital Province Dr. soedarso.
